41F, S 14 mph.  7:33 AP.  I pushed it up to a more moderate pace finally, kinda trying to force my cardio to come back.  I got a little tired at the end though, still recovering I guess.  Maybe next week I'll push out a tempo to see where I'm at.  Time to stop puttering around and get back at it if I'm going to run an April marathon.

Your training, goals, and Personal profile hit close to home. If everything goes will, I'll see you in Boston 4/2013.

You're running really well slowjoe!

Time to change your blog name to "SO NOT Slow Joe"

From SlowJoe on Mon, Jan 30, 2012 at 20:29:59 from 74.195.74.62

Frey - you're right...have you picked a race to BQ at yet? What time do you need to run?

ACorn - thanks man, starting to feel almost recovered finally

Kelli - no, I need the reverse psychology thing

From Steam8 on Mon, Jan 30, 2012 at 20:37:33 from 166.70.55.77

KELLI...I agree! I have been trying to get him to change his name for months! 7:33 ave...that makes me want to cry! I wish I was faster! If reverse psych works, I better change my name to NOSTEAM!

From seeaprilrun on Mon, Jan 30, 2012 at 21:18:05 from 205.172.12.229

you are hardly puttering around! I truly have been puttering around. Maybe when you visit Wichita we can push each other to run an actual tempo--something I haven't done in quite some time.

From SlowJoe on Mon, Jan 30, 2012 at 22:09:03 from 74.195.74.62

Steam - that's the secret - self-degrade into submission.

April - tempo sounds good. Although I'm not looking forward to writing about how you dropped me a mile into it.

Looking at Carmel, IN on April 21st. I haven't signed up yet though. I've been trying to BQ for a few years now. My gameplan is to run a good half or possibly a 63 minute 10 miler (Papa John's 10 miler in Louisville, KY on March 31st) before signing up. What about you?

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at 09:50:27 from 132.3.53.68

Frey - sounds like a good plan. Since I only hit the BQ by 4 min, I'm going to take a whack at BQ-5 in April (depending on where I am living, it'll be OK City or one in Kansas). I don't think BQ-5 will be necessary to successfully register this year, but would be nice to get the sub-3 anyway.

OK then. You are slow as tar. It is almost embarrassing how slow you run. You really need to pick up the pace. ;o)

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at 19:41:51 from 74.195.74.62

Thanks Kelli, that's more like it.
