It continued to rain most of the past 24 hours and it was a mess outside this morning.  What kind of a desert is this anyway?  Also, all vehicles on the road were collaborating with each other to force me into every mud puddle on base.  By the second mile my shoes were fully waterlogged.

I slogged through my planned workout anyway, which was 6 easy, 6 MP.  6 easy miles were @ 8:17 avg, then did the MP(ish) miles @ 7:35 avg.  7:56 AP for the run.  The heavy shoes notwithstanding, it felt pretty comfortable.

Some good running. Are you in the Army too? I can understand about cars on base collaberating. Running on base here in Italy is non-existant, can't wait to get back in the states where there is actually a base to run on!

7:35 pace felt easy? Nice. That would give you a 3:18 marathon--my PR!

Really, if that pace feels easy you are sitting in a really good spot right now. Good work in the waterlogged desert.

You gotta be feeling good right now! Keep up the great work.

Hey Colby - nope, I'm an Air Force guy (which explains why I've never been a runner). I am living with the Army right now though...hooah?

April - I think 7:35 is probably somewhere between a half and a full pace, but it's so hard to tell...

Flat - thanks, enjoying running a lot right now.

Thanks Rye! I've definitely never felt this fit.
