I broke out the anti-inflammatories out of paranoia.  When I dorsiflex (new word I learned, means lifting your toes toward your shin) my ankle, that dang tendon really hurts (anterior tibial tendon - 2 more new words).  I guess that motion is not required when running though, because I didn't feel it at all while running.  So how did I hurt it then?  I guess it's ok to run on it.  I'm always wondering if the current injury in question will be the one that sidelines me and ends my marathon hopes.  It was like this when training for my first half too, earlier this year.  Always teetering on the brink of injury.  Guess it comes with the territory...

Easy does it. You may want to cut mileage this week. You won't lose any fitness ! Not much just enough to rest those tendons. Good luck! Hope the stomach is tolerating the anti inflammatory medication.

Yeah...Be careful. Remember your hip wasn't hurting during the run at first either and it turned out to be pretty bad.

Ok, running easy starting....now! But seriously, next week I'm cutting back mileage for a rest week.

I've been having some pain in what appears to be the Extensor Digitorum Longus and Brevis tendons on my right foot. They don't seem to bother me much when running either. I don't think my shoes are laced too tight, but maybe that's part of it? Who knows. I've just been icing it some and some light massage. Hope you're feeling better! This week has been awesome for you!
