5am, 64F.  It went pretty good - AP was 8:19.  First 8 were easy (averaged 8:32), then 8:21, 8:14, 8:09, 7:59, 7:49, 7:48.  I was pretty spent after that.  I should have been doing more long runs.  The thought of running 12.2 more miles makes me want to puke all over my laptop.  But I only have 1 laptop and I need it, so I'll try not to think about it.

Nice work, Joe.

Good move. It's a real pain getting puke out the laptop keyboard.

Not to mention, it's a brand new laptop because you managed to break one already. No puking on the keyboard. And, no spilling your rip it on it either.

Good miles at a good pace! Is Houston your next long race? If so, you have some time to get in those long runs...

Nice long run. Did you fuel?

From flatlander on Thu, Oct 28, 2010 at 15:28:38 from 198.207.244.102

That is a very good pace, if you feel good after a day you are probably looking at a fast marathon pace as well. Plus you have a lot of time left.

Thanks Mike

Chris, sounds like you've had this problem too!

SJG - hey, the old one made it through almost 3 deployments.

Thanks Tracy, yeah nothing on tap planned (of any importance) until Houston, so there's time to get adjusted.

April - I had 2 x 20oz bottles of Gatorade. I did 2 7-mile loops and hid one by where I started. No Gu yet, I'm saving those...

Flat - thanks, I'm a little more sore than with my 8-milers. I think I'm going to slow down in the future, or maybe hold 8:30s longer or I'm not gonna make it for longer runs...

Nice pace there for your long run.

Thanks Kelli and Burt.
