66F, 96%.  7:48 AP.  Early morning slog - took a long time to get going, as it usually does when I start at 4am, but the last 7 or 8 miles went smoothly.  Just the fact that I have finished a 14 and 15 miler with some energy to spare in the past few days means I've made some gains from where I was a couple weeks ago.  Whether or not I can run fast remains to be seen.  I'm about to sign up for a 5k, so maybe that will give some indication.  Probably not much, since I haven't sniffed 5k pace in quite some time.

I've only run 3 5ks, but I've learned this year that a good aerobic base will take you a way in the 5k (assuming you aren't competing in the event on the track or to earn a living). I found that I ran 3 unprecedented miles, so I like the 5k for this reason; you don't have to spend much time training at that pace (or hardly any). And you don't need a PR, but I bet it will make marathon pace feel easy.

96% and 66 degrees is tough when you just start to get used to cooler, less humid air.

Man those are some muggy conditions. That's a good run for you. It is 29 degrees in Idaho Falls as I write this...... I'm not listening to any complaints!

Too hot, too humid, too cold...I'm glad I live in Texas :-)

Hope the 5K goes well, are you running it this weekend?

Jason - yeah the hope is not really for a PR, but to feel normal while running harder

Rye - yeah, this is the time of year when I stop complaining about the weather. your turn...

IJR - thanks - yep, Saturday morning

Good looking mileage and pace, Joe. Bet you smoke the 5k... :)
