Long day at work today but a thunderstorm came through afterward and the rest recharged me and made it nice and cool by the time I went out for my run.  It ended up being a great evening for a run: upper 60s and breezy, but the breeze felt nice and cool.

Felt so great the first 3 miles so I couldn't stop myself from doing a short 2-mile tempo in mile 4 and 5. Those were 7:05 and 7:17.  Avg pace was 7:51 for the entire 6.  What a difference a day makes.  Feels like I went from 50% of my pre-injury fitness to maybe 85% in one day.

No run tomorrow but there will be a lot of hiking up hills and stuff so a day off is probably a good thing.  I think I'll make it another 5-run week since I'll be traveling back home all day Friday.

And, in other news, I finially finished my MBA.  That's a big monkey off my back that's been there for 2+ years, I'm dun with edumacation for awhile.

Nice run! Gotta love that feeling that you have now about running! I'm glad you're getting it back and feeling more confident about your fitness!

And YAY on the MBA!!! I've got one semester left of my master's and I can't WAIT (especially after this weekend--too much class and school work!)

Well congrats in lots of ways! Sweet run, MBA done! Awesome! I ran in similar conditions today and it had the same effect on me--put wind in my sails! I knew it wouldn't be long before you wouldn't be able to stop yourself from pounding out some fast miles!

Cross training today. Congrats on the good run plus an MBA all in one day, what a day. You can take that MBA with you to a lot of places, I'm sure you know that.

Great run!!! Congrats on the MBA. That will carry you a long ways. Glad that your hip is responding well.

Thanks Tracy, and good luck this semester.

April, yep, too hard to hold back after all this time.

Flat, thanks, I'll probably be looking for a job in 2-3 years so hopefully it comes in handy.

Thanks Rye, hip is cooperating adequately, so far.

From SlowJoe on Thu, Jun 10, 2010 at 17:47:12 from 204.133.180.90

Thanks KP, it won't take that long unless you're lazy like me and wait until you're almost 30 to start it. I think I've gotten dumber over the years...
