8:20 pace.

I'm trying out a new harebrained idea tomorrow and running without arch supports.  Testing a theory.  Too boring to detail.

Good to be running again after a 3-day break.

I dig boring and harebrained. Explain.

Ok, you asked for it..

My AT tendon didn't have problems until a few weeks after I started using arch supports for a different problem (PT tendonitis). I'm now starting to think arch supports were the correct solution to an incorrect problem, and I actually just had some heel bursitis or some other unknown ailment.

Anyway, the arches were giving my bad foot (right foot) a bit of a pounding and I think I unknowingly changed my gait to alleviate it. This caused tight shin muscles/shin splints (anterior tibialis muscle) which connects to the AT tendon. The AT tendonitis followed a week later.

On this run, I started feeling the arch supports pounding my left arch and paid attention to my shin muscle which soon felt like it was starting to get overworked, even though I wasn't consciously altering my gait. So the hamster wheel started spinning in my brain and I figured I'd take out the arch supports to prevent tendon issues in my other foot.

So far, my stride feels way better without the arch supports, and my AT muscles are feeling relaxed and not sore after I run. I'm also doped up on anti-inflammatories but regardless it feels better when I run.

Ya dig?

And the knee bone's connected to the shoulder bone.

You talk as much as you run. Dang!

I hope you read every boring word.
