What a weekend! 12 of us in 2 minivans running through the night next to gator filled canals and over scenic bridges during the day.  This was a great time! Went by so fast, what a blur! My van was awesome- very patient and easy going....can't say as much for the other van- lol! Our van didn't know eachother too well, so we were probably on our best behavior.  We were all great friends by the end of the 2nd day.  Finished in the Keys in time to enjoy a great Sunset and stayed an extra night and day to relax and play.  Spent a wad of cash so prob won't do it again for financial reasons- but it was a great experience to do once!

Didn't train well, it was hot.  Not my best race.  Started off well, but faded around mile 4.  Last 2 miles were difficult.  Lesson learned- must train better to feel better and get better results! Nicely organized race, cool shirts and unique Dragon themed awards.  Very family friendly.  Hot over that causeway though, start was too late in the morning for my taste.

I'm still around! Been running only 12ish miles a week on average. I did gear up in Nov & Dec and trained and completed my first Ragnar Relay.  Miami to the Keys.  Wow- what an experience! So glad I did it.  Will I do it again? Not sure, lol.  However, we had a fantastic group of 11 ladies and 1 poor guy.  The memories are priceless.  I ran about 18 miles total with my 3 legs.  Our team averaged 10:29 pace which was actually good considering we got lost and didn't meet up at our exchanges on time at least 3 times. Plus we had a couple newbie runners and others of us who could've been in better shape ;-).  So I came home from Ragnar and didn't run much for 2 weeks after.  Ha! In fact I've only had a few workouts in the past 3 weeks.  NOW- tomorrow I'm running a local 8k (Melbourne Beach Marathon Weekend).  Have no idea what to expect for pace.  Would love to hit around 8ish, but it remains to be seen.  Wish me luck and Happy Running :)

Well...since I came in 1st in my age division....I'd have to say I loved this race, LOL :) It was on my daughter's BD and I didn't stick around long- had to get home for the festivities.  The race has a nice finish at Gleason Park.  Course itself is kinda boring through mediocre neighborhood.  But it's for a great cause, one that I'm on the board for...

Today starts my Half Marathon Training and hopefully some weight loss.  Nice early morn causeway run with Mel & Barb. My Garmin wristband is broken so I truly have no idea what our pace was.  It was comfortable and I felt good so I'm excited to get my Garmin fixed and start tracking.  Next run scheduled for Thursday.
