What a beautiful morning! I'm getting stoked for fall! I slept in until almost 8:30 and it was great! Kids are on Fall Break and husband was in bed after a night shift so how could I possibly get up- until Arielle dragged me out of bed anyway...What a lazy gal I am... After I got the kids breakfast and going for the day I took off for a neighborhood 4 miler.  Me & the IPOD.  I made sure I had 15 motivating songs ready to go.  I felt pretty good on this run! My arches are still a bit sore and I stopped to stretch my feet after about 2.5, but otherwise ran the whole time.  Finish time 39:45 so just barely under 10 min. miles.  I'm training to be able to keep my marathon battered body in pace w/ Michelle & Mik'l on Saturday!

I don't run that fast on my normal 4 miler on a good day! I meant to do 4 today also but I turned my alarm off and then fell back asleep for another hour and lost my running time. I'll have to see about getting it in later today.

Good job Christi! Wow, way to jump right back in. Some of the elite guys haven't even done this much yet. And pretty darn speedy for a few days out after a marathon!

For some reason I slept in this morning too. No, it (mostly) wasn't the late night blogging...10:45 Utah time is 9:45 AZ time, anyway--Adam was up 100 times last night. So basically I feel about as energetic as an earthworm today. But I am DETERMINED to still get my 5 in.

Where's the Painter race you are talking about? And it's a half? I am always curious about races. I might be(and that's a BIG might be) in Utah next December/January. It would be awesome to meet up with you and any other blogs to race or just go for a run. I don't know if I'll be in St. George any time soon. But, today I was thinking about one day flying out to run in the St. George Marathon. It sounds like such a well organized race.

Congratulations on a great post-marathon run!
