Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner, for 5 1/2 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.  We had a beautiful baby girl, Caroline, in August 2009.

I made it out for a run-what a miracle!  It went fine-the weather was beautiful.  I had some random aches and pains, probably from weeks of sitting on the couch.  I am still not very motivated, though, even though my clothes are fitting a little tighter.  I've been so busy with work (which is going great) that it has become a bigger priority than running.  I know this needs to change, and I'll figure it out.

Whew!  My friend was in town from San Diego and is training for her first marathon.  She needed to do a long run, so I volunteered to come along.  We ran 6 together, stopped back at my house, and then I went along for the next 10 miles...on my bike.  It was a fun way to catch up with her and get in a great workout.

Tomorrow is the Ironman!  I'll probably go watch for a few hours.  I have a friend trying to qualify for Hawaii.  Watching should be enough to guilt-trip me into getting off my ever-expanding bootie!
