Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner, for 5 1/2 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.  We had a beautiful baby girl, Caroline, in August 2009.

Tonight I ran on the treadmill-yuck!  But there was no way I was going to run outside in 108-degree weather either.  My body clock was off after two days of downtime at the Biltmore Resort.  We had a great time.  I got a hot stone massage (which I HIGHLY recommend) and read an entire book (The Kite Runner) by the pool (I'm a fast reader).  And, of course I got a lot of great quality time with my hubby.

Anyway, back to reality.  The run was fine, if not a bit boring.  The only thing that sucks is that I have to do a hill workout in less than 10 hours!

Good job getting in the miles! Kite Runner is good, read it a couple years ago. Have you read Stephanie Meyer's books? I'm reading The Host now, pretty good!

No, I have not read any of Stephanie Meyer's books. I probably should, though: I've heard everyone on the blog talking about her. Right now I'm reading a Sylvia Plath biography and trying to correspond it with her poems and journals. I did a project on her in college and have been kind of obsessed ever since.
