Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner, for 5 1/2 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.  We had a beautiful baby girl, Caroline, in August 2009.

Pre-blogging yet again.  I slept 9 hours last night!  I might do 6 tonight, but I haven't decided.

PM-chiropractic adjustment.  Hopefully my neck issues will go away...

PM-At the last minute, I decided to do mile repeats on the treadmill and get the painful workout of the week over a day early.  I started with dynamic stretching and then warmed up for 1.5 miles at about 10:30 pace.  I did all three mile repeats at 8:19 pace with .25 miles after each (took about 3 minutes).  I cooled down with another 1.5 miles between 10:30 and 11:00 pace.  Then I did the anti-sitting stretches.

I guess the good thing about the treadmill is that I am forced to keep up the pace.  On the other hand, maybe I could have gone faster.  I probably could have...a little bit.

The other good thing is all the sleep I'm getting this week!  I still get to bed around 10:00 and sleep until about 7:00!  Next week I'll be back to the 7-hour nights.

Hey you pre blogger girl! That makes you be pretty committed about getting out later! Good job!

Can I have some of your sleep hrs? I haven't had more than 6 all week and it is killing me today! I took a short nap on the couch this morning and I am trying to stay awake, but when you are working at home and the couch is there it is very, very tempting. So I will just keep eating!

Pre-blogging is working well for you! GREAT job getting out late in the day, that's tough!

Nice job getting the mile repeats done on the treadmill. Even though in theory it should be as easy or easier to do them on the treadmill than the road, I find I can rarely keep the pace as well as if I was on the roads. Just too dang boring.

So are you running a 5K on Saturday? If so good luck!
