Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner, for 5 1/2 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.  We had a beautiful baby girl, Caroline, in August 2009.

I only had time (and energy) for 5 miles today, but the run went well.  It is a beautiful day and unseasonably warm.  It got up to the mid-70s and was probably in the low to mid 60s during the run.

As most of you can probably tell, I am experiencing a little sag in motivation!  Something always seems to come up!  And, of course, we are going on vacation this weekend, so I won't be able to run (which is OK, because we will be SKIING!).

Total time: 47:28, average pace: 9:30.  My pace stayed pretty constant throughout.

Nice job today! Where are you going skiing?

Great run today. Have a blast on your ski trip (jealous!)

We are going to Telluride, one of my favorite places in the whole world! My goal is to ski a double-black diamond (have never done it). If I don't blog next week, you'll know what happened....Ha!

Good job on the run today. My mom and two brothers are going to Arizona on Wednesday for a week. I'm so jealous! And my mom and dad are looking at real estate down there. They want to buy a house down there in the next couple of years.

Kind of funny that my mom is leaving NY and its snow because it's cold; meanwhile you're going out in search of it. HAHA

Good Luck and Be SAFE!!! You have way more adventure in you than I do! I like to ski, but I am WIMP!!!

Maybe a break from running is just the ticket, so perhaps make sure you don't run next week. You may come back ready to roar (or in a body cast if you are unlucky, let' hope not!).
