Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner, for 5 1/2 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.  We had a beautiful baby girl, Caroline, in August 2009.

I'm pre-blogging again.  My run last night was so nice that I want to do it again!  Plus, the stress at work is making me tired, and I need my sleep.

If I'm feeling feisty, maybe I'll make it a tempo run tonight.

PM-Blah.  I planned on 7 miles, ran 3.5 miles to my turnaround point, and started feeling a pretty bad cramp under my right rib cage.  It wouldn't go away.  I made it 5 miles at a 9:40.5 pace (identical splits, except for the first mile-nice!) and then the day caught up with me.  I made sure I made it to 6 miles running, but mixed in a lot of walking.  My last mile was 10:38.  Oh well.

I worked 11 hours until 7 pm tonight with no lunch.  So, it's no surprise that my run wasn't so hot.  BUT, I settled a big case today!  And I might be going to Texas tomorrow.  Time to pack and go to bed.

I'm so glad you were able to get such an awesome run in last night! I can't imagine running in 100 degrees! Good luck again tonight!

Congratulations on your case -- it does make it easier to run when you have had a good work day doesn't it?
