Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner, for 5 1/2 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.  We had a beautiful baby girl, Caroline, in August 2009.

I don't know if I could characterize these as easy miles, but they weren't any of the other categories either.  Is there an in-between category?

Work is crazy, CRAZY!  It's taking over my body, too.  I started feeling some lower back pain about halfway through the run, but I pushed through it.  I picked up a race t-shirt from a girl tonight who is about to run a marathon and is at about the same level as me.  She lives near me too, so I mentioned training together once she recovers from her marathon, and she was interested.  So I might have a running partner!  That would definitely get me up in the mornings.

Total time 47:07, average 9:25 pace.

I hope you get that training partner...It really motivates me much more than I thought possible. I ran alone for years and have really loved having a partner!

Hmmm. Is work treating you all right? I seriously doubt you would miss blogging for 4 whole days if it were less than an emergency. Hope all is well!

PS That is so exciting about your running buddy! Hope it works out.
