Will give full report later.

It is later...

For starters friday afternoon was a joke getting packets. Very unorganized and late. It took an hour to get the packet.

The race started 30 minutes late and it is already a late start scheduled for 7:15. So that means that it was hot at the end. I started off with the idea that I was going to kill the top. I soon decided to pull back and go with the body. I only looked at my Garmin at the 5k (20:29) and 10k (42:20). I was afraid that I was doing worse than expected and didn't want any self doubt talk come in. I did well till you get on the path. Rolling hills took some out of me. After mile 11 I started to pick the pace up and was actually feeling somewhat energized. The Jolly Rancher must have been the trick. It was fun actually passing some runners at the end of a race for once. Get to the finish...no shirts. They were out. I loved the course but not the organization....I will leave it at that.

NICE JOB on a PR on a super hot day!!!! I felt for all you runners at the end of this one. Hobblecreek is my absolute favorite race, I wonder why they were so darn disorganized this year?

Thanks Paul. It was good talking to you!

Kelli, I have no idea but I have never been to a race this disorganized. And it is not like it is the first year they have put one on either.....There were a lot of people talking about it...but still overall I loved it!

Way to go up there Scott. Now charge yourself up for a month and do it again.

Nice PR Scott. Way to go, what a solid HM. Sorry to hear the organization didn't help, but you still pulled off a nice job. Congrats.

Great job on the race and a new PR. I love the course, but have always had issues with the organization and management of the race itself.
