I ran the Bloomington loop in reverse. Very slow. Tried running with a headlamp.....going to take some getting used to. It keeps sliding down my forehead because of the sweat. Had to get some kind of a run in before I get in the car and head up to Ogden this morning to be around for my dad and his heart surgery Friday morning. 8:50 pace

Hope all goes well with your Dad's surgery. Good job getting the miles in early in the morning.

Just looking at the mileage board and saw you had an "off week." After reading your blog I can see why. Hope your dad's surgery went well and your preparednesspalooza was successful. Nice job of getting in miles during a very busy week!

Thanks for the concern. Things could not hacve gone better for my dad. He ended up with a quad bypass and it was a perfect operation....everything went exactly as the surgeon had hope for. I ended up passing off my preparedness fair but actually wished I could have been there. Keep it up with the good running!! Are you running Salt Lake marathon?

I'm actually not running anything until the TOU in the fall. I might run the Ogden Marathon as a long training run, but my goal for the summer is to build mileage. I haven't taken this approach before, but so far it feels good. We'll see.

I am using the Salt Lake Marathon as a long run preparing for the Ogden marathon. We will see how it goes. I get competitive when I run, even on my training runs at times. I drove the course and I got excited because of the way it is set up and the fall and climb look to be good. I also am usingthis to get used to the added elevation compared to running in St. George. Maybe we will see each other in Ogden.
