I just completed the most difficult run of my life. just under 29 miles of trail running..I will talk more later! Okay, I am showered and feeling much better.

I started out at hwy 18 @ Diamond Valley. I ran into Diamond valley and ran on the trails toward Turkey Farm Road. When I got to the t in the road I decided to run left for a few miles and see what it was like up there. I got going and cut off the road and ended up at some private property with a bunch of fields cleared. I ran through and around and got all messed up. I took what I thought would be a good trail down towards Green Springs area and ended up at a dead end. Then it turned worse when I followed a steep trail down hill that lead to nowhere. Now I had to hike up this mountain to get out. After running for awhile I found the road I had been running on. Now there are snow pellets dropping and the wind is kicking up...rain on the way. I took a turn that ended up taking me towards Pine Mountain...stupid me kept going and went up around 5 miles before thinking, Duh you are going the wrong way. I turn around and head back trying to find where to go to get out of there before the weather turns on me.......brilliant thought comes to me...you have a gps on your garmin idiot. That saved me. I almost made a wrong turn again. I got straitened out and headed back for town, bagged the idea of running home by way of the Turkey Farm Road and went back to Diamond valley. The body feels great, I am just tired because of the stress and all the trail climbing and hiking. I am going to stick to roads for awhile...LOL

Holy HughS!

Dude i was up there today. I know how you feel. I was above the turkey Farm and Got lost my self. That hail storm was no fun. I almost took that same trail and I was glad i did not. I could see it just led into a hole surronded by mountains.

I decided to take the road back down to Saint George. I had enough of the trails.

You are sure getting those miles up. Wow! Awesome. Happy trails to you!

Bill, when were you up there? I have been going over my timeline and I cannot believe that I missed Clyde and the gang......we couldn't have missed each other by more than minutes....
