I went out and scoped out part of my next big run. I started at the back side of Diamond valley and did some trail running. It was sprinkling when I first got going and didn't think I would be able to go very far. The mud was bad abd had to stop and keep knocking the mud off my shoes. Once I got up the first climb the trail dried out and was pretty descent. I kicked up 6 head of dear on the run.

I am hoping that the rain doesn't come because I plan on running this same trail in the morning but extend it out to the Turkey Farm Road and all the way home. If the rain comes I may just enjoy a day at home since I have my 40 miles in for the week already. My planned Saturday run is for 20-22 miles.....I am hoping for dry in the morning. Today would have been a perfect chance to take this run but I had no way of getting a ride back to my car until 4pm or so and needed to be back home to pick my son up from school earlier......oh well.

Scott that sounds like a pretty impressive run you have planned tomorrow. It should be a fun one. We are actually going to go out and back all on the trail- if it doesn't seem too muddy. The good part about STG is on every side of town there are trails to run on!

Clyde, the ways things are looking right now the trails will be pretty muddy. If it rains any more I will try to run hwy 18 from the top of Veyo hill and get in some mileage, that would be about 22 miles.....as long as it isn't raining too much. I don't want to relive the marathon experience again!
