Ran a very slow 3.50 then got on the bike and road out to SunRiver then onto the new highway to River Road. Turned around and came back. Toatl of 12.99 miles (4.00 counted)

I just noticed that this is my highest mileage week I have ever had and I still have the saturday morning 13 miler to go. It is amazing how it feels good. The body has adapted from the break I took. The biking has really helped the legs recover by getting in a good 10 mile plus ride in after my runs.

Glad to see the animal in you coming out again. The injury hibernation threw me off. Great week.

Thanks Bill, I actually put together the route that we are going to run. This run is to simulate as close as I could find the Bryce Canyon race. Are you running Bryce?

Bill, we are going to start 2.2 miles above the Diamond Valley turnoff. That will aloow for a mellow first couple of miles. Then we go down through the steep turn and turn into Snow Canyon Park. Run through to the Parkway and then back to the store. I ran it earlier this week. I love the first 8 miles of it. The last 5 are on the parkway and for some reason I have never enjoyed that section...maybe because it is so flat...when you are old like me the gavity pulling me downhill is very rewarding...LOL

Scott, great week! So, were going down through Snow Canyon, not down the course right?

From scotthughes on Fri, Jul 10, 2009 at 13:30:48 from 209.33.211.3

Mike,

That is what I told Steve I was planning on doing. He then said that we do this as the club run. So unless Steve has other ideas that is what I am planning.
