2 miles warming up at the top of Snow Canyon. Met up with Mike, Steve, Bill and Clyde. They had come up Snow Canyon. Ran with Mike for the first 2 or 3 miles then he took off. Ended up with Steve for the rest of the run..THANKS! Had my first crash and burn. Hit the edge of the road and went all the way down. Road rash on the palms and the side of my right leg and my right hip. Boy the was fun! Felt good about the run although I was pretty tired the last two miles. 9.61 miles @ 7:42 pace.

The orthotics are feeling better with each run...hoping they fix my foot problems...fingers crossed!

7:46/ 7:41/ 8:18/ 7:14/ 7:47 ( crash & burn )/ 7:25/ 6:54(trying to catch mike)/ 7:29/ 8:40/ 7:56

Took a breakfast break and finished the exersize portion of my day. I went for a 6 mile bike ride pushing it pretty hard. That is about all my road rash hand could handle for the day (count as 2.00)

Oh crap man. Sorry about the spill Scott. Hope your not too jacked up. I've gone down my share of times before all ending with blood... just making memories right?

Clyde, Actually not too bad. I am sure it will hurt more tomorrow morning....at least someone was there to confirm that it really happened. Steve thought I had some major bleeding going on but it was only sweat on the road from my skid.

Ouch -- Nice run, otherwise.

Thanks Paul! Trying to run smart from here to SGM. No more trying to hammer down the hills like Des News. Decided that slower more controlled miles on the downs will serve me better in the long run. I watched how you ran Des News and conserved on the downhill and had plenty left at the finish.

Thanks Scott, even more importantly, I think, is not hammering too early in the race, especially uphill. Of course, we both know, easier said than done.

Scott, nice to run with you today. Sorry about the nasty spill. Impressive you got up and finished strong. Also, thanks for your nice text today.
