Suprise! I get to fly to Bakersfield tonight for work! (Not that exciting)  No time for the gym for the eliptical.

I got up before 6 am and did an hour on the eliptical at the hotel.  Now it is time to roast in the 103 degree weather of Bakersfield.

My life is being to crazy to get to the gym before it closes so it's time to get running again.  If the foot complains I will have to back off.  My calf muscles were super tight but they started to loosen up a bit toward the end.  Super slow.

I decided to run up the 2.5 mile dirt road at the top of Butterfield Canyon to the Copper Mine overlook.  There was some walking involved but the weather was awesome and the view is spectacular.  Unfortunately Vibrams do not do well on dirt road so I wasn't able to take advantage of a fast downhill run.  As a result of my sorry feet on the dirt road I have decided it is time to join the Croc movement.  To usher in the new Black Croc Era gave them a 1 mile tour around the neighborhood - felt nice.
