1 hr on the elliptical (with the arms) - 6.75 miles on the rolling hills.

This workout was intresting.  My legs were tired and really didn't want to go faster but I couldn't get my heart rate up (especially compaired to Monday).  I may use the one with the stationary handles again next time.  I still need to give the stair stepper a go.

The thing that is going to be the hardest about cross training is finding the time each day to do it.  The gym closes at 10pm, so if I have anything in the later evening my cross training plans are pretty much shot.  I will do my best to get a workout in 6 days a week.

I like cross training, but being stuck inside doing it is hard. Just get it in when you can. :)

Yeah, I miss the freedom of being able to run wherever and whenever I want to. People watching sure does make it entertaining.

cross training definitely takes more time, effort and planning. i have missed a few days here and there because sometimes i just can't get home from work before the gym closes. but you are doing great. did the doc give you a time frame for your injury?
