| | We went up to the zoo trail and did hills, 3 different ones twice each. The third one we went up a different way that literally kept climbing for forever. We eventually continued up that hill to the top, and it was so steep. When we got to the top we did another hill, by now I was worn out, and another one that wasn't as bad. Then we took a different way back that included both steep uphill and downhill. And when I say steep I mean the one uphill seemed almost vertical. At least to me. And it continued going up and down until it finally connected with the zoo trail and we took it back to Sunnyside and went back through This is the Place. My new shoes felt amazing, but my ankles felt really tight going up to the trail and they hurt. They warmed up during the hills though, except then it was my calves and lower calves that hurt, and on the downhill my hip hurt but it was like inside the bone, idk how to describe it. But I hope it feels better tomorrow. I have realized that I really suck at hills. I like downhill, but not the steep parts we were running on, I can usually use downhill pretty well. I felt like maybe some of the hills though were just mentally tough for me so I did bad. I need to get better at that, too.

| | Today was a track day, we did 2 vertical laps and stretching, then did drills outside. We then did relays where we had to sprint across the field to the other people on your team and then they'd sprint and so on. Yeah I'm definitely not a sprinter. Then we did a lap around the school. I don't know how much to call this run??

| | I woke up and went straight to the car. We drove to my cabin and when we arrived I went for my run. The deal I made with mom for this trip was that I stay on the island and run with my phone and I have to be home before dark. So that meant I could only get in 2 laps today, although I felt good and could have gone a lot longer. About 35 minutes for the 4.5 miles. There was snow and ice on the dirt road so I had to be careful not to fall but other than that I think I like running up here more in the winter than in the summer. Probably because I can't swim or go boating like we usually do because it is now ice :)

| | I had to run after Thanksgiving dinner, which made me feel sick running so close to eating so much. I cut it short and did 2 laps, so 4.5.

| | Man time flies when you're having fun. I procrastinated running today. I hurried out the door when I realized what time it was but only got 1.5 laps in before it got dark. So I hopped on the four wheeler and drove back to my cabin. I have to say its a lot prettier up here when it snows than in salt lake because the snow doesn't turn into the gross gray slush, it stays pretty and white :) probably because it's a dirt road, and the pine trees also make it prettier :)

| | Today I was getting sick of doing the same thing for the past couple days so I decided to change it up a bit. I did 1 lap warmup (2.25), then did a 2 mile tempo because I know where the 2 mile is. I got 12:41, which is okay I guess considering the elevation change and there were a few small hills. I felt unusually out of breath by the end though. Then I finished the lap and did another lap cool down.
