Ug. I thought we were DONE with speed. We went up to sunnyside and did a lap and came back to the track, then did a mile speed changes. 1st set: -400: 76.5 -800: 2:55 2nd set: (400s) -82 -82 -83 -85? 3rd set: -800: 3:20? -400: 82? Okay, so I started out fine, then crashed mentally. The first set I was feeling good, but then the 800 I didn't do so well on. I tried not to let it affect me that much. Then the 2nd set I did pretty well on, but I started to crash mentally again. I wasn't in that great of a mood, and then Bill revealed that the next set was an 800 and a 400. I started thinking negatively even before I started running, so not too good. The first lap I completely gave up, then Bill started telling stuff to me, probably something like "don't give up! Push!" But I got really mad, not at anyone in particular, just mad. I started to sprint that last lap, and died the last 100 meters. Oh well. Then Bill talked to me and told me to win the next 400, and I did. So, just got to work on the mental part. Then did a mile cool down to get to 6 miles. |
