So today was the meet at Davis. It was my last state qualifier of the season before region because I did UVU (which I wish I hadn't done so that I could do BYU, but oh well. To run at BYU I will just qualify for state at region...ha) Anyway, I did a mile warmup half mile speed changes with Abigail. Then got my spikes on and did strides and drills. Then was the 1600.

I was in the first heat, so I was first to race the 16. I tried not to get out too fast so that I would have energy at the end and not crash like all of the other times. I was right in the middle of the pack. My first lap was an 81 or 82. Then I tried to stay consistent 2nd. 3rd lap I tried to focus, and not crash too much. Then I ended up being 2nd and passed that Davis girl that I think is Abigail's cousin??? IDK. Anyway, was in 2nd and last lap just tried to catch up to first girl. I PR'd by 2 seconds. I haven't PR'd for a REALLY long time, so this was a good race. In fact, not since Simplot in Indoor Track. Huh. Well now that I think I know what's been the problem, I hope that Region will go well and that I can get in the top 4.

Then I cooled down a half mile. I had a little bit of time before the 3200. Warmed up a half mile, then got spikes back on, and then a few drills and strides. I was hoping to do well on this race, but I didn't do so hot. Got like a 12:40ish. I really hate the 3200 now. It sucks.

Then was the 4x800. It was a change having it be a 4x800 rather than a 4x400. It's a lot different and more chaotic. Did a half mile warmup, then realized that they were lining up already, grabbed my spikes and ran to the line and realized that I had the wrong top!!! AAA!!! Oh well, I just am glad I raced. I ate a lot before, which probably wasn't smart. I was the first person, so I didn't have to worry about grabbing the baton, which was nice. Too bad it was in the invited session, and they are all super fast, and I was in dead last. But then I caught a girl in purple on the last 100 meters!!! :)

          8 miles for the day.
