AM:

Today was BYU. I ran 2.75 warmup and drills and strides and such.

Today was the 1600! I asked Bill if he thought I could qualify, and he said he thought so, so I went for it. I remembered what happened in the 3200 and was nervous. I didn't want to get boxed in, so I went with 2 girls out pretty fast, when everyone cut in I was 3rd, the second lap I made my way up to the first person, then on the curve debated going around, but sat on her remembering yesterday, then decided to pass on the straight, and then worked that 3rd lap, knowing it was the hardest one. Then I started to pick it up with 500 left, with 400 to go I was at 4 minutes exactly, and that was where I really started to believe that I could qualify, but I didn't kick hard enough, missed it by a stupid second. I started to slow down a bit with about 50 meters left, wish I would've ran to the line. At least now I know what I'm capable of! it was an 11 second PR for me, and I got first in my heat :) I did 5 miles cool down

PM:

Met Bill, Chris, Megan and Flower at Liberty and we did a wood chip lap warmup, then 3 800s at 2:45-2:50 pace. 800 recovery, I hit 2:51, 2:51, 2:43. Then another lap cool down.
