| I was running late as I had to go home and check on the kitchen fitters huh ! this throws my training session... so I got to the gym and my space is taken in the car park, I have my own space you know I really do, and i dont like it when its taken phhhhhht silly Christmas tree people, theyve taken over half the car park baaaa humbug. 10 mins level 5 xtrainer 9 mile run, didnt take the garmin trying to fun as I feel and drop the garmin on some runs, I still time myself but its off my phone which I carry for safety and has a stop clock in it. 1hr 6 mins 34 secs good run it was dry, very cold but windy again a very cold wind, it was really chilly, I still wore my shorts but it was long sleeve and I didnt pull the sleeves up so it must have been cold. 4C with 7mph winds from the cold north brrrrrr xtrainer 10 mins, 1 min level 5 1 min level 8 I did this for the 10 mins, which is tought going but I seem to get to 5 mins of this and my legs really feel heavy and hurt, although after this they feel great must be the lactic acid or some other rubbish being disposed of. My mum thinks I need feeding up and I got home made leek and potato soup for my lunch, although it was alittle too close to my run 30 mins before, so not a great idea. Still no kitchen another take out ahhhh, either that or a bbq in 2 C tonight its cold. |

| Nasty weather huh! cold 0C and it was supposed to be rained this afternoon when I ran but didnt really a bit of spitting and that was it thankfully. Not a shorts day, as it was long run, and sometimes I get cold on long runs so gloves, long tights two tops one long sleeve one short, and my head band with ear covers. I also had to carry my rucksack myself, as its a weekday and I usually run my longer runs with Paul carrying it so I found it harder with this, my shoulders ache tonight ouch. 16.1 miles 2hrs 12 mins 8.11 min average. I ran out fishermans path straight to the beach and then all the way down the beach to Southport Pier this is a hard run as it goes inbetween the beach and the sanddunes their is a path that is very sandy in places and also grassy boggy, muddy slippy and just darn hard going for over 6 miles then its sand again so pretty much 7.5 miles of beach sand mud boggy mud and sand and beach.... the rest of the run is on road, two decent hills in it, the main roads back through southport. I havent done this long run for 2 years, and forgot how hard it is, (as I usally run with Paul on his bike and he wouldnt have been able to cycle those 7.5miles at all). All in all it was a good run, my legs felt pretty heavy and sore and tight from Saturday, but I would just stop and stretch if it got too bad. |

3 mins skipping none stop very tiring on my arms mainly I used to do 20 mins 3 times a week its gonna be hard getting back to that I think Im going to aim for twice a week with my steps ups too! 6.8 miles easy if you can call sandy hills sandy trails, and sandy sandy's LOL then 2 miles road home. 2.8 miles home actually, and I think my garmin went mad, I did pick the pace up as usual on the road, its just the effort I put in on the hills etc, then you hit the road and your flying so its hard to back off, when Im feeling good, which I was today, and the music was great...... now back to the mad garmin I shall download later to see if it makes sense but I looked at the watch and it said 5.30 pace ouch if its true I maybe sore tomorrow :-/ Oh and those xmas tree men phhhhhhtttt my space mine yes its MINE ha ha ha and returning to the gym about 20 young girls from a high school had overtook the gym again thankgoodness for the phone call he he
I got back the gym ready to do xtrainer and step ups, but I had to go home after a phone call about the fact they have two colours of kitchen top on the order form, 1 white and 1 black well come on people I had chosen a white colour but I had to go to the shop to check which white colour LOL Oh well Happy Days. :-)

Okay I had 3 mins recovery either jogging or jogging and stretching my legs felt tight, my calves were ok at the time but now they're really sore. Hammy tight and sore. It has been a long time since I have done mile reps, so I am made up with my virgin mile reps run..... I wont lie I found it incredibly hard like Chris M says BLOODY mile reps :-O
They are hard really hard, gut wrenching but I didnt feel like vomiting I felt tired but it was deffo the legs holding me back, so a race and no easy runs isnt great to do 1st mile reps after along lay off since my Injury in training for Berlin Marathon which was in August which is nearly 5 months ago ! I took it easy on the way back but hit the sand dunes to try gain strength from them 4.4 miles back 1st mile 10.29mins sand dunes really big ones 2nd mile 9.41mins more big sand dunes 3rd mile 7.48mins hitting the muddy trails picking the pace up 4th mile 7.34mins again picked the pace up allot on muddy trails and sandy trails 0.4 2.43mins thats 7.27 pace on the road easing off. Good session all in all, and got decent miles in. No bunnies, no seagulls, and thankfully no lamp posts.......but I saw some high school kids along the muddy trails on the way back, some of them started to walk, I nearly shouted at them to get their butts going but thought best keep my mouth shut LOL..... oh and no I did miss out on my car space some one else visiting the gym stole it naught people naughty naughty ;-) |

| (-; Rest Day ;-) "If your not sure you are running or jogging, you need to go faster" Pearl Izumi "runners are wild, joggers are runners domesticated" Pearl Izumi "Runners sometimes Jog! but joggers never RUN" Pearl Izumi
Runners (Definition)= who knows what mother nature will throw at us next? and it doesnt really matter. The point is, while the domesticated masses are taking refuge in their homes, desperately tuned into the weather station, runners will be out doing what runners always do- Running. It takes more than heat waves, gale force winds or arctic temps to keep runners at bay. They will deftly sidestep fallen tree limbs and downed power lines and gladly endure blizzards and driving rain-storms to keep their daily run intact. Citizens-at-large will generally find this shocking behaviour. EXTREME, somehow, but to runners its simply business as usual! by Pearl Izumi ADVERTISING! Not done much today but sort out kitchen plumbers etc I watched Dylans football team get beat they didnt play to their best at all but hey ho thats life at least they sort of had fun. |
