Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

As a youngster

County Champion for Xcountry and

High Jump

and 1500ms track.

pbs aged 13 yrs old

800ms 2mins 16secs

1500ms 4mins 48 secs

high jump 1metre 53  (cant do this now) and I never trained for it as a kid, just competed alot for points for my club, usually spend 2 hours highjumping, and skip off to do an 800 or 1500ms race then go back to high jump, Wish I took the running more seriously!

Run on more than several occasions for my County against Ireland county of Dublin.

Top 50 finnisher at 14yrs of age in english nationals Xcountry.

Happy and Un-happy Bunny!

10 mins xtrainer level 6    h/r 116bmp nice as I was rather buzzing knowing I had been ok fully fuelled my self and it all stayed in....no stomach upsets and I ate some fresh mashed spuds for my mid-morning snack, just to make sure.... so I go back to I am buzzing MILE REPS, I even had the so weird rash I get when Im all a bit too excited/race mode/nervous  LOL.

so 3 mile warm up off road, trails and sand and mud and sand ;)

road, for the mile reps, with a 4 min rest Coaches orders :)

  1. 5.49 mins jog to start of next mile,   (I have set 1 mile runs in suburbia he he)
  2. 5.35 mins Nice I raced a cyclist whom was not impressed and picked the pace up somewhat so I did as I was feeling really gooooood :-)  Happy Bunny me thinks so.
  3. 5.45 mins I set off at 5.20 pace knowing this was my last rep, thought Id go for it, I'm gonna cross the railway crossing yay no trains, and I was zooming along the road not path, cyclist again but I was deffo gonna take this one as she was going really slow, and bang a dumb BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP driver pulls out of Formby Golf Club, nearly running me and the cyclist down, I had to stop, I went round the rear end of the bloody car (sorry Sasha) I slapped the rear end of the car to make them notice me, I was so not impressed they didnt retaliate omg let them retaliate I had to put the brakes on big time and I felt my hammy, but I carried on it was gonna be at least another 5.35 min mile I was ISSED I tell you.........

Formby Golf club driver I will remember you and I will mow you down in my big black huge car, I will....... NO HAPPY BUNNY HERE!  were was Burt When I needed him hey hey I tell ya LOL

Rant over, no stupid driver stupid stupid huh phhhhhht :-(

Ok 4 miles warm down mostly off road sand dunes, mud sand trails oh what fun with a sore hamstring!

Ice bath on getting home and another one just now I am shrivveled frozen person.  But it doesnt feel too bad now, I am hoping I can get my easy run done tomorrow and it will be fine. Its not a pull as I wouldnt have been able to finnish the rep off. :-)

Best I have run since August.

Now for Gossip, aparently rumours going around, due to an article in the local newspaper the local football (soccer) star Stevie Gerrard has got security around his house with big dogs, and people (he lives a few roads from us) and apparently everyone in Formby is talking about it, and the fact his wife is running around with a bodyguard now LMAO   ha ha ha apparently they saw me and my hubby running down the road last Sunday on my long run, and thought I was a WAG and Paul a body guard, and this person was saying everyone's talking about it apparently, I said omg were did you see her running etc, they said, and I replied what was she wearing they said exactly what I was wearing I was wearing my white cap yes I looked like Maddonna running thinking back with a buff around my neck so yeah I was trying to stay warm not hide my face LOL I didnt tell them I just replied with how vein having a bodyguard with you LOL ....

So glad they didnt see me puking near the middle of my run on Sunday imagine the gossipers then :-O

So Sammy is a happy bunny for her times but then a not so happy bunny for golf drivers :-)

I think you need to run with a golf club, I have heard they can do a lot of damage to cars, so probably even more damage to golf carts!

I laughed when I had a vision of you doing reps with a golf club ;-)

Bonnie thats so funny, maybe I will run with my bodyguard from now on and a golf club LOL or I think a hammer would do the trick ha ha ha

Hahaha! Funny story. Those are some sweet mile splits even with the oblivious driver interrupting you. Great workout!

From vinh on Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 21:06:52 from 71.68.254.197

Nice workout Sam! That sucks about your hammy! Hopefully it's not that bad. Boo to golf drivers!

please post pics when you mow this person down with your big black huge car. i think it would be very entertaining. great job on the speedy mile repeats today. i always run with two bodyguards. most of the time i just wear rollerblades and have them pull me along, but i still count the mileage.

Just throw on an Everton jersey and the rumors will stop. It's good to read that you're running well.

Wow what hot gossip!

I had the idea to affix sandpaper to my elbows, then if any cars get too close they get scratched! Be warned crazy car drivers!

Hopefully the hamstring is ok today

From Samantha Dean-Howard on Wed, Dec 16, 2009 at 06:17:57 from 78.32.130.9
