Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

As a youngster

County Champion for Xcountry and

High Jump

and 1500ms track.

pbs aged 13 yrs old

800ms 2mins 16secs

1500ms 4mins 48 secs

high jump 1metre 53  (cant do this now) and I never trained for it as a kid, just competed alot for points for my club, usually spend 2 hours highjumping, and skip off to do an 800 or 1500ms race then go back to high jump, Wish I took the running more seriously!

Run on more than several occasions for my County against Ireland county of Dublin.

SNOW BALL FIGHT LOL

2°C | °F
Current: snow and hail
Wind: S at 16 km/h

Humidity: 81%

I had a snow ball fight in work dude's/ets, It was fun, although I was wearing heels, so I didnt want to slip im not logging miles or sprinting ah ah ha ha ha....... I got Lee on the bum, and Kevin well he wasnt very happy as I got him and his hair would be messed up ha ha ha..... We did do work to but had a break for a snow ball fight.

It was my last day at work, we usually go on holiday at Christmas, been to Lapland and Dubai, well this year we got the renovations on the house to pay for so no holiday as hubbys work is quiet....... Its nice to be home and not have to work.  Although I still feel very unwell, but I am not the type of person to go lay down I stay up and fight LOL.

So a 9 mile run in the snow, ice, hail, wind and cold but it was fun, to a certain degree!

I nearly got run over again, they dont grit the pavements, so once I had enough  of all the snowy icy sandy trails, I hit the road on the way home and ran on the road, well some dude wasnt even looking he was fiddling with summit in the car I was waving my arms like mad and then he saw me last minute I just laughed thankfully not run over ;).

so it was a slow 9 miles I had trouble getting going my hammy is stiff and sore, my lungs are kinda bad with all the coughing and sneezing and wheezing but I ran because I am an athlete well thats my excuse just STAY UP and FIGHT he he :-)

I didnt go the gym havent got enough time, my son is doing a goalie course at Liverpool Football Club's academy, so I have just enough time to get 9 miles in and shoot up there and pick him up, today I was running late literally and had to run up there in my sweaty run clothes urghhhh I hate doing that, lycras and lightweight jacket and hat, gloves.  Its his last day tomorrow.  then it was a case of more chores, doing paperwork and tax and vat returns, oh and more paperwork........ oh and I did the last food xmas shop 9pm at Tescos, it was mad everyone was there! its only one day, one meal come on peeps do you have to buy so much unhealthy food???

I think I was the only person with healthy food in the trolley ha ha I did get some chocs but thats for the staff at the gym, oh and 2 packs of mince pies, again Im dropping some off at work even though I am not in work tomorrow oh dear I'm tired now,  then I cleared the dining room, as its just been decorated so more cleaning and tidying omg Im so tired...

Sorry but snow ball fights cannot be logged as training (unless you were running around a track at the time!)

From TBarlow on Tue, Dec 22, 2009 at 09:31:05 from 216.194.124.36

I wish we had snow - lots of it! I think a storm is suppose to roll in tonight!

From seeaprilrun on Tue, Dec 22, 2009 at 10:28:37 from 68.103.250.39

Maybe it counts as sprintwork...

From Bonnie on Tue, Dec 22, 2009 at 14:59:52 from 64.119.33.134

ha ha ha -- I am with Chris. A snowball fight on the track would be fun!

How fun! Gotta love those snowball fights! Great job on getting a run in, though you still aren't 100%. True dedication right there. Hope you feel better by Christmas!

So glad you didn't get hit. Does 'summit' mean 'something?'

From ChrisM on Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 15:11:19 from 81.132.105.140

I think Dylan should go in goal for Liverpool now after they lost to Pompey!

How great were Portsmouth though? Woo-hoo! LoL

Aye Burt that's right

From Burt on Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 15:13:14 from 206.19.214.144

From Samantha Dean-Howard on Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 15:32:31 from 90.201.147.30

Burt Yes and Yes LOL your got them right yay!

I think Dylan should play for L'pool tooo imagine I could train full time then and have an aston martin as he would be paid so highly ha ha if only eh! not replying about pompey Im just ignoring it ha ha LOL

Vinh Your right and I am having a day off as I am too ill to run urghhh ! :-)

From Burt on Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 16:04:22 from 206.19.214.144

Okay. One more question. Then I think I got it. Does Aston Martin mean expensive sports car that only rich snobby British aristocrats can afford? Which is fine because the western hemisphere prefers the Corvette.

From Samantha Dean-Howard on Fri, Dec 25, 2009 at 07:17:43 from 90.201.147.30

Ha ha Burt, yeah expensive car, no for snobby British People LOL I love them always have done since I first watched James Bond and no I need to sell my house and live in the Aston but Id do that if I didnt have a family. no no corvettes they dont go round corners ha ha :-)
