Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

As a youngster

County Champion for Xcountry and

High Jump

and 1500ms track.

pbs aged 13 yrs old

800ms 2mins 16secs

1500ms 4mins 48 secs

high jump 1metre 53  (cant do this now) and I never trained for it as a kid, just competed alot for points for my club, usually spend 2 hours highjumping, and skip off to do an 800 or 1500ms race then go back to high jump, Wish I took the running more seriously!

Run on more than several occasions for my County against Ireland county of Dublin.

Top 50 finnisher at 14yrs of age in english nationals Xcountry.

Okay 4 hours of broken sleep is crap, I tell you I am just you got it Knackered today! fed up and Im not hungry which is totally not me, normally I could eat for Britain and If I didnt run Id be 18 stone at least!

Decided today too, I need to lose about 7lbs at least for Berlin marathon, need to get back down to reasonable race weight, gonna weigh in on Friday might publish it, if its not too bad, then again I had McDonalds on Saturday which I never eat in that place what was I thinking??

Actually got up early enough to do the vibrogym this morning, so that was

Press up's OOHHH, bridge one legged did both legs, crunches, side plank, step ups, squats and stretch massage to finnish.

Rain Rain and more Rain, I might be a wimp today and stay on the treadmill, with me runner geek pulled up socks, got to do 6 easy miles, maybe I will hit the woods instead..

Spoke to my Coach Reg this morning, hes made up with the 9.5 miler but not with the fast hard session I did, OOOps me's in trouble again, LOL.  So the course of training is easy 5-6 milers every other day and 9.5-10 miles again on the other days all easy pace (fingers crossed I keep to that!).......

actual training, this afternoon gym work

25mins xtrainer hard, level 8

10 mins step ups

2 min rest

10 mins step ups hard.

25 mins xtrainer good effort level 6

Ran in the evening, My son has a summer league hes doing for the new team 11 aside football, so I ran there, whilst Paul (h'band) drove with Dylan. I thought itd be about 6miles, funny it was 7.8 miles 52 mins, very windy but no rain! wind was pretty much headwind all the way, except for occasional shelter  from the trees.

All in all an okay somewhat no so easy run, but was supposed to be.

McDonalds!? I'm guessing you didn't tell coach about that!

Plan looks good though :)

If it's not raining it's not training or so they say...

I worked at McDonalds for 5 years. I might've told you that already.

From sam on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 17:23:54 from 90.195.99.31

Chris, No I didnt tell my coach, didnt want a double telling off!

I know that saying, but was a wimp and hoped for the rain to go away for a l8ter run, which did happen yay!

decided to calorie count but today was a great day to start, only thing is just my training has used more calories than Ive taken on board, and I am really not hungry, so its force down some protein shakes urgghhh

From sam on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 17:25:29 from 90.195.99.31

Burt no you didnt, and my hubby knows what they put in the burgers as hes been to the farm they get the supposed protein from!!!!! so I dont eat the burgers, chicken pieces in the uk are actually chicken pieces and not jellied bones etc but fried!

You probably couldn't sleep from all the caffeine McDonald's gives their British chickens. I don't know for sure, but that's my guess.

Mike, if I have another night that bad, well I might just go for a run in the night, could be the caffeine, but I have cut that to 2 coffee's aday, and its normal coffee, I am staying away from coffee shops for now LOL they have double the caffeine, anyways I am too tired!
