Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

As a youngster

County Champion for Xcountry and

High Jump

and 1500ms track.

pbs aged 13 yrs old

800ms 2mins 16secs

1500ms 4mins 48 secs

high jump 1metre 53  (cant do this now) and I never trained for it as a kid, just competed alot for points for my club, usually spend 2 hours highjumping, and skip off to do an 800 or 1500ms race then go back to high jump, Wish I took the running more seriously!

Run on more than several occasions for my County against Ireland county of Dublin.

Top 50 finnisher at 14yrs of age in english nationals Xcountry.

My plan to get me back to fitness.

  • Mon 1hr easy run swim 100 lengths core work step ups
  • Tues hill intervals and marathon pace tempo run easy run in the night with paul cycle
  • Wed 1 hr off road easy run core work  step ups.  cycle ride in the night with Paul
  • Thurs tempo run h/mara pace 6.30 start at 20 mins moving upto 45 200 length swim
  • Frid long off road run with shell my friend
  • Sat 100 lengths swim no run
  • Sun long or a med run with paul and dylan cycling.

Okay so this is the plan, hills, well thats because they make you stronger and I dont put stress on my hammy as much also Im gonna do some xcountry this year so I need the hill work, hence the long off road sand dunes trails with my friend Shell.

Your training partners are key to your success, and friendships based on your runs together are strong.

Hey cant wait to race and then I can say this lol ;

The only good race pace is suicide pace, and today looks like a good day to die.

UPDATE......... he he he IM a happy bunny, veeeerrrrrryyyyyyyyyy happy bunny.......MOJO running is back .

100 swim lengths, I was gonna do 200, but my arms are sore today, havent a clue why but they are sore, actually I forgot to mention yesterday that I did hanging leg raises, 30 x 3 straight then each side 30 x 1 so yeah that might be why the arms are sore :)

I then had time to myself wow not often this happens and the weather was nice, so I had a 2hr motorbike ride with a coffee stop in the middle.   Was very nice to go for a coffee with my mum :)

So an easy run 5-6 miles was the plan.   I had no red bull but I have got wings my running mojo hit big time for me anyhow.....as ive been so slow recently this was great.

1 mile easy 8 min pace then progressive pickup throughout my run hitting 6min pace briefly but leveling off at 6.15/6.20 pace for the majority of the mileage  when I hit 5 miles, I stopped briefly then jogged in for the last 0.5 miles.  I ran with paul on his bike whilst Dylan my son was having his guitar lesson.

Nice night tooo it was cool dry sunny and a small breeze..... I saw a a young women cycling I found I was catchig her up so I picked the pace up and flew past her, at 6 min pace she wasnt happy, tried to stay with us, we hit a hill only hill in Formby over a train station and the cyclist died ha ha ha die girl die...... oh im so much happier, I thought Id neve feel like that again really thought I had burnt out or something.   :-)

Oh Happy days oh happy days.

oH and p.s I start the plan next week. Weighed in, and back to 3lbs to go, but I have revised my weight loss and wish to lose more than previously decided so I now needd to lose 7lbs not 3lbs that being 4 more......:) I will be a race weight for me anyhow then.
