We had a speed workout today so we warmed up to the grass above the cemetery and the workout was 3×(100, 200, 300) at two mile pace (6-6:10) up the Airport Dr. hill, with rest being the run back down the hill, and after the 300 an easy recovery lap on the grass. During each set I tried to focus on staying with the pack and being there mentally. I felt really strong and didn't separate myself physically or mentally with the other girls which is something I sometimes struggle with. It was a really good workout and I'm definitely happy with it. It was freezing cold today but no worries I wore two jackets, running tights, and gloves so by the middle of the second set I started to warm up sufficiently. Hopefully adding a few layers will help me prepare for the heat in Arizona, which I am extremely excited for! Shout out to Jamie because she ran with us today which is always the best. And today I am #grateful for hot chocolate because sometimes that's the only thing that makes me feel warm |
