Cross training today-went to the pool, started out with 50free easy for a warm up, then a 500free, on the odd 25's I changed how often I breathed (every 2 strokes,then every 3, etc. til I hit every 6 strokes then worked my way back down-on the even 25's I took a breath every 2 strokes for recovery) then I did a 500 where I did 50 aqua jog 50free 50 aqua jog 50kick til I hit 500. (It ended up being 3 sets of 50aqua jog 50free and 2 sets of 50aqua jog 50kick) then I did an easy 50free for a cool down. Before I hit the pool I talked to Jamie about goals and such for track season. I'm a little nervous about some of them but for the most part I feel confident and ready to kick it into gear. It was definitely a good talk and I'm getting pretty excited for the season, especially since its my last one! Shout out to Austin because he came and did the 2nd half of the workout with me (he already biked today that's why he only did half) and to the lil sis cuz she came with as well, and to Watson because she's the best and because she wore a sick jacket today. And today I am #grateful for the water aerobics belts so that I don't drown when aqua jogging. Truly I am blessed. |
