11.5 in the orchards with 2 x 3 miles, 7:03 pace. I wanted the first set to be a comfortable marathon pace and the second set a little faster with really hammering the last mile.
#1: 6:41, 6:16, 6:28 - this looks ugly but it is course adjusted. First mi gradual uphill, second mile gradual downhill, last mile flat.
#2: 6:29, 6:22, 6:02 - conservative start but I was really able to push that last mile which felt good. I'd like to say it was comfortable but it kicked my butt.
I'm making progress. I'm frustrated with how uncomfortable running fast feels right now but I think I just need to get more comfortable with feeling uncomfortable! Also the wind was a major issue this morning. It was relentless.
