Woke up early again to run while at Youth Conf. (in Cedar, which was kinda odd - enemy territory, y'know), didn't really wake up until I was a mile or so into the run. Sadly, it took until then to realize that my watch was out of batteries... so I don't know exactly how far it was - I wanted to go 7, but I think it went short. I went way slow and easy out (30 min), then had a party going way fast on the way back (25 min).

Very consistent training last week and in the last month. And it does show in races! Discipline in training pays off.

As I said earlier, you have very good speed for a distance runner, and the key to making it rock (sub-11:00 in 3200 meters) is training like a true (as opposed to a good by high school standards) distance runner. Do you feel ready for no less than 8 miles a day 6 days a week?

Not quite yet, but I think I'll go no less than 7's next week, 8's the week after, then taper a bit for the relay. After that, build up a really strong base for XC!
