Long-Term Running Goals: Honestly I just love to run, and I hope that I can do it the rest of my life..until the day I die!
Personal: I am married to a wonderful hubby, who has ran 3 marathons and a half ironman with me! I have 2 cute boys and a dog! |

k so I am a bit sad or jealous or whatever you call it. I didn't run today, I thought that I really didn't want to do anymore damage to my knee and to rest it. I thought I was ok with it until I saw all the runners. However, on the flip side I LOVED being a spectator and cheering for everyone. I love to see all the sweat and tears and it brought tears to my own eyes. I was especially happy to see my hubby running. He decided yesterday to run (after I decided not to! yes he ran in my place...mostly because he didn't want to waste money....but also cuz he loves to run too!) I was excited for him, not sure of exact time but somewhere right around 4 hrs! yeah.... Anyway, there is always next yr and other races too! Congrats to eveyone that did it!!!!!

saw physical therapy today for knee pain. she massaged my L thigh to death to stretch out my IT band and also she used a plunger (looks like a mini bathroom plunger) and "plunged" my IT band, it help loosen it. Man it hurt so bad i Cried!!!! Now I have a huge bruise. NO pain No gain RIGHT??!! Also, gave me some strenghtening exercises...Wish I would have done this a month ago!!!

| ran 5 today. I felt great until mile 3. then knee started to hurt again. the good news is my IT band didn't hurt, but just still hurts where my tendonitis is. yeah....baby steps! a funny note, I ran on the trail by the virgin river and I suddenly found myself in the middle of a "Breast Cancer" run/walk. It was fun to say hi to everyone and I was happy that I decided to wear my "pink" running shoes and shorts with a "pink" stripe!

| ran 5 today. knee felt better. Ive been going to spin classes the last few wks to get my quads stronger, so they can support my knee better. I think its working a bit. anyway, hopefully this will be a new trend! |

k, i ran this morning with Christen.(yikes it was unusually cold.....yeah that means Christmas is getting closer!) Anyway, I havent ran with her in awhile mostly because my knee is still on the fritz, but also cuz she works nights at her new job and our schedules are hard sometimes. It was sooo good to talk to her and see how everything is goind and how the marathon went for her..she is so sweet and nice. I might try to run again with her tomorrow or try to catch a spin class. I guess I will have to see how my knee does the rest of the day Later, I did my exercises that the Physical therapist taught me...man they kill but I know they are good for me!!!!!
