I finally got around to my workout last night after going out with the missionaries.  The good news was the acr trainer was up and running again.  The bad news was I had no energy.  I was supposed to simulate 3 x 1 mile repeats with 1 min rest.  I was going to do 3 x 8 mins very hard with 1 min rests.  I did the first repeat with the 1 min rest and on the second one I only made it a couple mins and then was no longer able to sustain the hard pace.  I just took it easy for the rest of the work out.  Did about an hour total.  I really need to start running again.  Cross training is good, but it doesn't do the same thing for me as running.

You will be blessed for doing splits with the missionaries. I hear ya on the Xtraining not the same as running. I sure hope you get back on the road soon. Hang in there. Is it time to see a podiatrist?

Hos IS the foot feeling these days, Rhett? Have you tried any short, SLOW jogs?

I know exactly what you mean Rhett ... but, I have to say this ... in the long run I think the cross-training has really helped me overall.

So hang in there ... be diligent ... it will pay off. I know it stinks ... but it will pass, I promise.

How is the foot feeling overall?

Still an impressive effort. I concur in the well wishes for a full recovery.

Seems like every few weeks I get an overall depressed feeling about not being able to run. I'm just going through that again, but I'm sure will work through it again. I really don't feel like I'm making much improvement, but I tried doing some deep message to it last night and it seems to feel a bit better this morning. I think I'm going to try and run with Doone while in CA this weekend. If it doesn't go well, I'll definitely set up another doc's appointment when I get back.
