Do you always lift before cardio? I always do cardio first and then lift...not sure it one is better than the other...just wondering.

Nice job, Rhett. I once read that doing cardio before strength is better, but that was a long time ago. I've done it both ways.

I think doing a good warm-up for 5-10 walking or elliptical is great before lifting. My personal trainer would always have me do it to help get the flow going she said. Less chance of injury that way.

Kathie, I don't think there is a right or wrong way. I always do whatever my main focus is for that day first. Today it was weights. If I had an important run scheduled and wanted to lift still, I would have run first.

I have had the same question regarding cardio. Have asked two different trainers and got two different answers. Go figure!!! :)
