1 mile warm up followed by 1 1/2 miles at tempo effort (goal 9:45) with 1/2 mile recovery repeated 4 times, then 1 mile cool down for a total of 10 miles.

All 4 mile and a half repeats ended up being exactly 9:42. I was mostly running by effort with the occasional glance at the watch, so I thought it was odd that they all were exactly the same.

Watches are over rated, over priced and some times are wrong :-) if you get a chance can you tell my about some good races in Arizona.

Nice back to back runs!!!! You've back in the groove.

That is an AWESOME tempo run. Is your route relatively flat? Very impressive that you ran by effort with such consistent pace. Nice run yesterday too and your miles are quality miles. You are training so well even with a busy life. Really admire your dedication! :)

Yasir, to tell you the truth, the only marathon I have ever run in Arizona is the Phoenix marathon, which I will be doing again for the 3rd time next month. It is a nice mid size race that is well organized with a friendly course. I'm not much help with other AZ races though.

HBR, thanks. Things seem to be clicking. I sure hope they continue in the right direction until race day.

Smooth, Yes when I do my faster running I do it out on the island which is very flat. Thanks as always for the kind words.
