1 hour stationary bike while watching Sports Center. Legs felt great this morning. My feet will be happy to go a few days in a row without the pounding of running.

Have you posted your Painter's plan somewhere? I realize it is not a goal race but I think at very least you should run sub 1:29:12 and redeem yourself for last year when a much slower runner dropped you at mile 6 (or where ever it was). :) ;)

Fly, I don't really have a Painter's plan. I am not planning on tapering except for taking Friday off. If my legs are feeling good, I'd like to try and run sub 1:30 but haven't really given it much more thougth than that.
And, no way you are much slower than me. That day you smoked me big time and on any given day I'm sure you could do it again.

Sounds like a perfect recovery ride! NICE jumping last night too! I won't be surprised if you PR next week!

If I remember right, last year you were on prednisone and messed with you big time!!! Not so this time!!! You are going to do so so so so so well!!!
I am having inner conflicts about how to run this race. Part of me says: "Go for it, Teena -- see what you can do." Another part of me says: "Just enjoy yourself -- this is not a goal race and you CAN NOT mess up Boston!!!" My guess is that I will start out somewhere in between these two thoughts and if I am feeling good will start to push. Who knows!!!!
Btw, I love just chillin' on the bike when there is something fun to watch. Speaking of Sports Center. Ry showed me these online commercials that were playing on ESPN.com where Michael Strahan shows some of the exercises he does during 15 minutes workouts. You should check them out. They look sweet! I am going to start testing some of them out. There are these plank pushups that are killer!!!
(Wow -- did I just write a novel??)

Smooth, I'll be suprised if I PR at Painter's, not because I'm not in good enough shape, but because of the lack of taper.
Teena, I love the novel. You wrote my thoughts exactly as to what I shouuld do at Painter's this Saturday. I just can't seem to come up with a game plan, but I too will probably start out conservatively and see how I feeling before I decide how to proceed. I'll have to check out those 15 minute workouts by M. Strahan. Sounds brutal.
