Upper body weight lifting.  Gotta look good for the beach this weekend.  I'm so excited about running tomorrow morning with Doone.  I hope my foot feels ok.  I'm off to Glendora, a little town outside of LA, in a couple hours.  Everyone have a great 4th!  And good luck on any holiday races you're running.

I am so excited for you!!! :)

Okay, listen ... not that you should really listen to me ... but just entertain this thought:

If there is little pain, and you want to run more than a couple miles: DON'T!!!!

Stop before you need to. I'm serious. Build up extremely slowly and cautiously these next couple of weeks if all goes well.

I know that seems harsh, and two miles seems like nothing ... but please please please at least consider it.

HAVE A TON OF FUN!!!!

Travel safely and be smart when you run.

(Did I say "please?")

Thanks for the advice Teena. I do respect your rehab wisdom. Please keep me giving me the advice. Like most runners I wan't it all and I want it now.

Have a great weekend. Sure enjoy your friendship on here.

Hope you're having fun in sunny California beach!!! Don't run on sand...it puts too much stress on the tendon especially on the insertion point. That's my two cents. Listen to Teena! She's the injury expert. I mean rehab expert! Happy 4th of July to you and your family!

I hope you had a great weekend with your "beach ready body"

How was the beach? How's your foot doing?

I had a great trip with my family and a fun time at the beach. I loved running with my wife, but unfortunately had to stop midway into the run and she had to come back with the car and rescue me. I'll post it on my blog.

STINK!!!!!! I'll watch for the post. But so so so glad you had a GREAT trip!!! And way cool that you ran with your wife!!! :)
