Do you cross train on your EZ days? You deserve an EZ day after yesterday's awesome hard workout. I always love EZ days and sometimes dread hard days. I have noticed that after an EZ day the next day's workout is so much better.

Funny, I used to love the easy days and dread the hard days. Now I LOVE the hard days and dread the easy ones. The speed work is a lot of fun.

Just make all your days easy like I do. (I'm trying to slow you down.)
Smooth, I have changed up my training from what I did at SGM. Hopefully that won't be a mistake. I am running 6 days a week instead of 4 and I cut out most of my cross training. Every morining (Mon-Fri) I do 15 mins of either jumping exercises or core exercises. That is it. No weights, no eliptical, no pull-ups, NADA!!!
No packing bulky guns? Smart thinking!! You're an elite runner in my book. I think it's good to change things up with different training cycle. With the good weather you have down in AZ, it'd be a waste not to run more days and less indoor xtraining. What do you think of Brain Training?
Smooth, the weather has been fabulous here this winter. Should be a great morning for a long run tomorrow. I really like the Brain Training ideas. I don't use any of his training plans in the back, but I use a lot of his ideas in my training. I am using his jumping exercises and core exercises and think they are helping.
