I think my leg feels ok today after my short run yesterday.  There is definitely no pain with walking or lifting weights.  When I was sleeping last night, I kind of felt this tiny littly achey feeling in it, but I'm thinking that is to be expected since I did have a crack in my bone.  I think I'm just overly sensitive to any discomfort in my tibia since I'm afraid to reinjure it.

Yeah for the one mile run yesterday with no pain!! I do think you are right, when a runner is injured (or coming off of an injury) they are really sensitive to that area and everything seems exaggerated. At least that is the case with me, I tend to FREAK!

Good luck with a little run again tomorrow (I assume it is still on) and have a fabulous day.

The key word is *tiny little*...yep, it's normal to be sensitive to the previously injured area. I trust that it is healed. Keep up the good work.

Still waiting for the BUFF Rhett pix! :)

You are being very smart. It will take some time for the bone to strengthen up.

I remember after my stress fracture I felt every little thing and panicked. Totally normal!!! :) :) :)

You know you're a stud! :) :) :)

Thanks everyone for helping keep from freaking out about a little twinge in my leg.

Kelli, yes I plan on another short run tomorrwo.

Smooth, Doone keeps threatening to post a pic of me. She says you guys wouldn't believe what non-skinny runner Rhett looks like. I'm not posting one of myself, so you'll have to convince her to do it if it's going to be done.

I do weigh almost a full 20 pounds more than I did at Boston. Yikes, that's going to slow me down.

From Smooth on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 16:39:58 from 174.23.203.161

Doone is right! We can only imagine what non-skinny-runner-Rhett looks like! :)

K, we'll pester Doone...don't want her to be the only beneficiary of the ripped Rhett!

Funny Stuff! 20 pounds of muscle on you would not be all bad right?

From Maynard on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 00:30:06 from 71.213.44.67

I've been very anxious on the three short and easy runs I've done this week and last. And you're right--every little twinge sets off an alarm and I start thinking, "Aw, crap! I should have waited another couple of weeks!" Go slow and don't put any pressure on yourself.

So ... how did it go today?
