Pain still very high in my leg when walking. I'm wearing my boot I got when I tore my PF tendon. It seems to help with the pain significantly.

I figure I'll wear the boot through the weekend and if it hasn't significantly improved by Monday, I'll go have it checked out. I'm still hoping it is just some type of intense inflamation or maybe a pinched nerve that will calm down with rest.

Rhett-
I just recovered from a bad case of a shin splint on my right leg. It has been bothering me since a bit before the Austin Marathon in February. It was very painful at times. I did calf raises for weeks on end and they did nothing for me. The fix - bend the knee slightly when doing calf raises. Find a stair and put the ball the foot of the leg that is hurting on the edge so that your heel is extending off - just like a normal calf raise. Put the other foot behind this one so that it is hanging. You should only be standing on one leg. Bend your knee slightly - you should feel your shin pain right now. Now lower the heel slowly as far down as you can go and raise as far up as you can go. Try to do 20 very slowly. It may feel awkward at first. 3 sets a day is all it took for me. My shin splint was 90% better in 4 days. Now it hardly bothers me at all. I hope this helps!

How are things going Rhett? I'm very interested to see if what derhammer did will help you as well. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
