Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness and life.

2 miles - I woke up early this morning due to nausea, which I think is being caused by the new medication I just started.  Couldnt't get back to sleep so I got up and fed Cooper.  Then took him out on a quick little walk.  Tried some jogging with him and he did really well as if he knew exactly what to do.  I think I may have a new running partner!  Went out for 2 miles alone afterward.

1 mile - After work I took Cooper out for the inaugural Cooper's run.  He did great!

Strength training for 1 hour after work for the first time in quite a while.  Felt good but whew boy, did my hamstrings protest at the activity.  Forced to really back off on the intensity.  Shocking how quickly sarcopenia sets in as we age.

2 miles in the morning by myself.  I really enjoy the morning time alone on the trails n such.

Strength training for 1 hour.  Not too sore but still took it really easy.  Feels really good to be doing this again.  I think it's critical that people over 50 years old get some form of regular resistance training.

2 mile morning run.  Thankfully I didn't go farther because I came back to Cooper barking and howling.  He has separation anxiety and I'm not sure how to fix it.  It shows up mostly when I look like I'm ready to workout or go for a run.  I thought about taking him on the run first to wear him out and then bring him back and go out again myself.  My concern is he'll get used to that set up for every run.  I can't keep having him bark every time I leave for a morning run.

Strength training day so did some old fashion barbell moves.  Starting to kind of feel like myself again.  My weights set-up is in a garage now.  Wonder if it will ever cool off outside.
