Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Total miles for the week.  Longest run was 15.25 miles.  All running was done at an slow to easy pace.  Having some issues with my right leg so started to incorporate lower body weight training 3-4 times a week.  Nothing serious lifting wise.  Lighter weight and long sets of 3-4 exercises.  After one week it's making a difference, but legs were definitely more tired than usual by Saturday.
