back to the grind after a fun Saturday. Now I am thinking of signing up for the new Mesquite marathon, it will be held at just the right time for me to train properly. Will wait and watch the leg for a few long runs to be sure.

Ran from my office to RT up to single track and back. two minutes and 47 seconds slower than last week. oh well. body feels OK overall. thinking of running intervals in five fingers again tomorrow.

Uhh, I may have to edit my offer to pace you. I will likely not be doing much running this fall (after TOU). Therefore, I will not be any help unless the race is say next year. Sorry.

I bet you wont need any help though to bust the 3 hour (and maybe the 2:50 as well) barrier. Maybe I should edit my post to read: "I can (weather and mood permitting) pace you for 1/4 mile to 1/2 marathon distance if the race is held during the short season that I am in shape and is within 100 miles of home (or if you are willing to provide travel and hotel reimbursement for my family to a location of their choosing)." Not too enticing anymore, huh? Maybe I could run with you for the wellsville race and call it good...

Cody, yeah, thats what you get for not thinking I would take you up on it!

But thanks anyway, and you deserve a break, so take a well-deserved one! I know what I have to do to get a BQ so I am good to go. I don't really even care if I PR if I do Mesquite. My brother wants me to run Boston with him next spring as he is 50, so all I need is a sub 3:30. I could do that right now at TOU, but I don't want to risk getting hurt. I am hoping to run Mesquite in just under 3 hours. Then I am going to try to run Boston in 2:55. then I too will take a break if the plan holds up!

Look forward to hopefully seeing you guys saturday.

scott - i once again won't be at the track tomorrow. too risky. looks like paul and carol are taking it easy tomorrow as well (just read the email). sorry to burden you with that silly AG trophy. thanks for snagging it though, i really appreciate it. i left the race in a rush and didn't think twice about it. just let me know when the best time is to come get it. i am on campus virtually all day on tuesdays and thursdays. and about the theraband, yes i have one now...no, i have no idea what to do with it :)

very cool about the mesquite marathon. you are starting on a very good base so it should go well for you.
