I taught chemistry 1210 at 8:30 and chemistry 5700 at 10:30. The computers in both classrooms were messed up. Typical. Now I am off to run. I advertised my blog in my classes. We will see if my quantcast numbers go up as a result. If all my students check my blog I should get up to the 370 range. I hope they don't let me down.

OK, went running from work up LC and up river trail to single track and back. It is exactly 8 miles and I finished in exactly one hour and zero seconds. I can set my watch by this run, which I typically do within 20 seconds on either side of one hour.

NB 790 Miles: 8.00

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Is there a way of knowing how many people read one's blog?!?! Do tell. :)

My 12 y.o. is taking a beginning chemistry/physics class starting this fall at our homeschool coop. I am so hoping she likes it and does not get intimidated. She is very bright, but suffers from the influences that keep many girls from enjoying science and math. I myself, way back in the Jurassic Period, was told by my step-father in 9th grade that I was "too cute to be good at math." The pressure on me in chemistry was even greater - so dumb! - and I was constantly filled with anxiety even though I was at the top of the class. OK, end of therapy session... send me your bill. ;)

The only way to raise your popularity among college age kids is to be on twitter. sorry.

You could post extra credit answers or maybe a cheat sheet for a "suprise" quiz on here and word will get out pretty quick.

Sno- it is the all important quantcast number right next to the St George running center icon. The higher the number the more popular you are. You are something like 115 so are waaayyyy more popular than me! My life's goal is to beat Cody and Jon on the quantcast chart, but alas they are just too fast and popular and out of my little league.

I hope you daughter enjoys chemistry. I hated chemistry back in high school, my teacher was horrible,I am surprised I went into it. I guess it was because of the family pedigree. I have encouraged my daughter to take the hardcore science classes in high school, she took AP calculus and chemistry for example. She scored a 35 on the science section of the ACT so it appears to have paid off. She starts school next week at BYU and is taking physics/engineering track classes, I am pretty proud of her!

Cody- you read my mind on the blog secret class hints thing, I was thinking the same thing! unfortunately I don't think doing that would be unviersity-PC, I better not get myself in trouble.

If my quantcast numbers go below yours do I get extra credit? :) And thanks for the shout out in class today... not! Haha I'll never hear the end of it from my friends in there now.

Hey I sent you a Blackboard message about Labs... I am wondering whether we need to go to them this week. If you'd get back to me asap I'd appreciate it!
