9 months off a couple surgical procedures and tons of PT hasn't helped at all. In fact, it feels worse than before.

I'm going to try running a little since it hurts anyway.

Ran the Oakbrook loop this morning. My achilles did not like it much, but it hurt a lot less than the rest of me does from not running.

Good luck and take it slow!

My run came to an abrupt end after only 2 miles today. My achilles is fine; it was a stupid bee that took me down. I inhaled it and got stung on the back of my throat before I could cough it up. The pain was terrible, but it was the swelling and the thought of not being able to breathe at all that led to a 911 call. A little IV Benadryl stopped the swelling on the way to the hospital and all is well now after a very short stay.

I will resume this run asap.

Nice to see some miles! I'm finally on the down side of my problem (except for the other foot I have to have operated on).

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Jun 03, 2016 at 17:23:52 from 98.203.229.149

Oh no, another operation? Good luck with that. I wish I hadn't done my last one. I think it made it worse.

I'm finally starting to bounce back. I've been able to run once a week for over a month now.

From I Just Run on Mon, Jul 11, 2016 at 08:44:25 from 108.178.73.170

Hope you're still running...?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Mon, Jul 11, 2016 at 10:07:57 from 97.126.39.89

Still 5M once a week just to keep my sanity. Not getting any better or worse.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Mar 27, 2018 at 18:07:34 from 172.56.42.124

Never really bounced back after that ankle surgery. Still just a few miles here and there when my daughter wants to run with me.

No races at all on my radar, but my pool game is on point. Lol.
